FACE 8
Brian Campbell measured the East -West diameter of the hole to be 11.31 mm, which equates to .44527559". The sought after number was .4455" or about 1/4500ths of an inch shortfall.
One of the navigational systems saw the Earth as being 24750-miles in circumference and divisible by either the mile of 5280' (English) or 5940' (Scottish ... 1-furlong greater ... 660'). In assessing lengths marked into ancient sites (like around Newgrange, Ireland for example) it becomes apparent that there was a measurement increment in use based upon 2.475" and 24.75' (297"), 247.5" (12 Egyptian Royal cubits @ 20.625" each), etc. The sum of 247.50' = 144 X 20.625" (or 144 Egyptian Royal cubits).
A mathematical progression based upon 4455 goes:
.4455, .8910, 1.3365, 1.7820, 2.2275, 2.6730, 3.1185, 3.5640, 4.0095, 4.4550, 4.9005, 5.3460, etc. Larger expressions of these values are fluidly divisible by either 2.4750 or 2.970, etc., also 5.28 or 5.94 (in deference to the English and Scottish miles).
The progression is just another way of keeping the 24750-mile equatorial circumference, navigational system at the forefront of memory. The 130680000' equatorial circumference was either 5280' X 24750 or 5940' X 22000 ... or 76032000 Egyptian Royal Cubits of 20.625".
In an age where there were few, if any, books the mind or memory had to be the storage facility for scientific information. As Julius Caesar said of the druids, ''They do not think it proper to commit these utterances to writing, although in all other matters and in their public and private accounts they make use of Greek characters. I believe that they have adopted the practice for two reasons- that they do not wish the rule to become common property, nor those who learn the rule to rely on writing and so neglect the cultivation of memory; and, in fact, it does usually happen that the assistance of writing tends to relax the diligence of the student and the action of memory ..."
HOLE DIAMETER, 90-DEGREES OPPOSED
Brian Campbell'S North-South measurement produced 11.44", which translates to .4503937". The sought after value was .450" and the overflow is less than 1/2500th of an inch.
This is a simple 360-degree compass progression that goes:
.45, .9, 1.35, 1.8, 2.25, 2.7, 3.15, 3.6, 4.05, 4.5, 4.95, 5.4, 5.85, 6.3, 6.75, 7.2, 7.65, 8.1, 8.55, 9, etc. The progression goes on to produce 360 and this string would be equivalent to dividing up the compass into 800 parts.
A second, symbolic reading would call to mind the very important root value of .4536", requiring less than 1/300th of an inch increased reading of the diameter. This progression would read:
.4536, .9072, 1.3608, 1.8144, 2.268, 2.7216, 3.1752, 3.6288, 4.0824, 4.536, etc. Under this string, the equatorial circumference of the Earth value, in Greek miles of 5250', (130636800' or 24883.2-miles) would be produced. This equates to 4536 X 28800.
In the above lineup, 453.6' was the vertical design height of the Great Pyramid from the base to the surface of the top floor altar, measuring 44' square (based upon face angles of 51.84-degrees). Also, the pyramid was 9072" long or 2268' for 3 base side lengths (756' X 3). The sum of 1-degree of arc was 362880'. The Earth spins at 1360.8 MPH (24883.2-miles ÷ 24-hours).
DISTANCE TO THE INNER RIM OF THE 1ST OUTWARDS CONCENTRIC RING
In the East-West reading this is .4921875" (63/128ths) and the progression that stems from it is:
.4921875, .984375, 1.4765626, 1.96875, 2.4609375, 2.953125, etc. This is simply a half reading of the string generated on Face 6 (2nd ring centre trough) or Face 7 hole (East-West).
This is the lunar progression that went on to generate values for the beqa gold standard (196.875-grains) of the Egyptians, as well as Greeks (Mina weight) and Romans (Uncia weight).
In the North-South reading the distance is exactly half an inch.
DISTANCE TO THE CENTRE TROUGH OF THE 2ND RING
The East-West measurement is .525" and the progression that is generated goes:
.525, 1.05, 1.575, 2.1, 2.625, 3.15, 3.675, 4.2, 4.725, 5.25, 5.775, 6.3, 6.825, 7.35, 7.875, 8.4, 8.925, 9.45, etc. The progression advances to 354.375, 6804 and 130636800' for the 5250'-mile equatorial circumference of the Earth.
In the above line-up of numbers 10.5' would be a Hebrew/Greek reed (10 Greek feet of 12.6"), 525' would be a short stadia, 630' would be a long stadia, 5250' would be a Greek mile. Alternatively 354.375-days would be a lunar year and 6804-days would be the duration of the lunar nutation cycle.
An ancient druid, carrying a calibrated staff of 5.25' would have been able to keep track of the solar and lunar positions daily under the lunisolar Sabbatical calendar system and impart knowledge to the agrarian communities as to when to plant and harvest at the optimum times, etc.
The North-South diameter measures .528" and would have generated values related to the English mile. The progression goes:
.528, 1.056, 1.584, 2.112, 2.64, 3.168, 3.696, 4.224, 4.752, 5.28, 5.808, 6.336, 6.864, 7.392, 7.92, etc. The progression advances to generate 130680000' for the equatorial circumference of the Earth under the 5280' mile navigational system of 24750-miles.
In the above line-up 7920-miles would equate to the diameter of the Earth and the progression would identify all of the Earth's primary and secondary divisions under this navigational system.
Another very close-proximity code that could be mnemonically recalled in the North-South reading would be .5376" and this progression generates the following numbers:
.5376, 1.0752, 1.6128, 2.1504, 2.688, 3.2256, 3.7632, 4.3008, 4.8384, 5.376, etc. (130636800 ÷ 5376 = 24300 = 5 Roman miles @ 4860' each).
This slightly elliptical circle is in mnemonic reference to 3 navigational methods including, two readings of the 24883.2-Greek/Roman mile counts and one reading in the24750 English mile count.
DISTANCE TO THE OUTER EDGE OF THE 1ST CONCENTRIC RING.
This is .567" East-West. The progression it generates is as follows:
.567, 1.134, 1.701, 2.268, 2.835, 3.402, 3.969, 4.536, 5.103, 5.67, 6.237, 6.804, etc. The progression goes on to generate 8505, 9072, all the way up to the equatorial circumference of the Earth @ 130636800'.
Essentially, this is a lunar code to provide incremental values through to the end of the 6804-day lunar nutation cycle. For example, the sum of 567-days would be 1/12th of the cycle
The 90-degrees opposed width (North-South) is .576" and the progression generated by this is:
.576, 1.152, 1.728, 2.304, 2.88, 3.456, 4.032, 4.608, 5.184, 5.76, 6.336, 6.912, 7.448, 8.064, 8.64, 9.216, etc. Each of these values are fractions of the 24883.2-mile equatorial circumference.
For example, the sum of 11.52-miles would be 1/2160th of the equatorial circumference or 10-minutes of arc. The sum of 345.6-miles would be 1/72nd or 5-degrees or arc. The sum of 51.84-miles would be 1/480th or 45-minutes of arc. The value 69.12-miles would be 1/360th or 1-degree of arc, etc.
DISTANCE TO THE INNER RIM OF THE 2ND OUTWARDS CONCENTRIC RING
This is 85.05" East-West and, again, is a progression related to the 6804-day lunar nutation cycle. It goes:
.8505, 1.701, 2.5512, 3.402, 4.2525, 5.103, 5.9535, 6.804, etc.
The sum of 850.5-days would be 1/8th of the cycle, 1701-days 1/4th, 3402-days half and 6804-days a full cycle. The 2551.5-day milestone would be 7.2 lunar years and the value used in the lunisolar, Sabbatical calendar when tracking both 7 solar years (2556.25-days) alongside 7.2 lunar years.
Again the progression carries on to resolve at 130636800' or the full equatorial circumference under the 5250-mile navigational system.
The North-South diameter is .875" (7/8ths) and the progression it produces goes:
.875, 1.75, 2.625, 3.5, 4.375, 5.25, 6.125, 7, 7.875, 8.75, 9.625, 10.5, 11.375, 12.25, 13.125, 14, etc. The progression goes on to produce all the incremental values that constituted the Greek system of overland lengths and culminates at 130636800' for a reading of the Earth's equatorial circumference.
Under a simple agrarian calendar system anciently in use, every week would be 7-days and every month would be 28-days. Under this peasant-farmer system there were 13-months in the year adding up to 364-days or 1.25-days of error. This Sabbatical system was allowed to run for 7 solar years alongside 7.2 lunar years, then a (9-day) festival was held to add back in the missing 8.75 intercalary days such that the new Sabbatical cycle could commence anew fully corrected.
According to the author, Carol Carnac, another counting system used by the Celt was to divide their solar year 'into 36-periods of approximately 10-days each'. (See: L'Astrology Celtique, Sand, Paris, 1986 ).
Mathematically, the only real or practical method available to them, under their lunisolar count system, would be to use 10.125-days (10 & 1/8th or 243-hours). Therefore: 10.125-days X 35 = 354.375-days or 1 lunar year. Alternatively, 10.125-days X 36 = 364.5-days or only .75-days short of the true solar year.
In this case, the Celts may well have incorporated a similar system as the one used by the ancient Hebrews (pre 600 BC) where each year they held a "double Sabbath" to increase the 364-day count to 365, thus decreasing the number of intercalary days to be added in the Sabbatical Year (7th year) down from 8.75 to only 1.75.
DISTANCE TO THE CENTRE TROUGH OF THE 2ND OUTWARDS CONCENTRIC RING
The East-West diameter is .891 and the progression generated is, again, related to the 24750-mile (of 5280') equatorial circumference.
The North-South value generated by this slightly elliptical ring is .9072" and this is a navigational progression. It goes:
.9072, 1.8144, 2.7216, 3.6288, 4.536, 5.4432, 6.3504, 7.2576, 8.1648, 9.072, The progression goes on to generate 362880 and ultimately, 130636800 (under the 5250-mile navigational system).
Simultaneously, the value .9075 would also have been called to mind. That progression goes on to generate 363000 and ultimately, 130680000' (under the 5280-mile navigational system).
The values of 362880' & 363000' represent 1-degree of arc, respectively, under each system.
DISTANCE TO THE OUTER EDGE OF THE 2ND CONCENTRIC RING
The distance East-West is .93312", carrying the same code as the 2nd ring trough of Face 2.
The North-South diameter is .945" and the progression generated by this is:
.945, 1.89, 2.835, 3.78, 4.725, 5.67, 6.615, 7.56, 8.505, 9.45, 10.395, 11.34, etc. The progression goes on to produce lunar and navigational numbers, all the way up to the equatorial circumference value @130636800'.
In the above line-up, 189' is the 1/4 length of the Great Pyramid, 378' the 1/2 length and 756' the full length. The sum of 850.5-days was the ancient calculation value for 1/8th of the lunar nutation cycle and 11.34" was 1/800th of the length of the Great Pyramid.
DISTANCE TO THE INNER EDGE OF THE 3RD CONCENTRIC RING
This East-West distance is .972" (243/250ths) and the progression generated goes:
.972, 1.944, 2.916, 3.888, 4.86, 5.832, 6.804, 7.776, 8.748, 9.72, 10.692, 11.664, 12.636, 13.608, 14.58, 15.552, 16.524, 17.496, 18.468, 19.44, etc.
Again, this string relates to what Julius Caesar said about the druidic preoccupation of lecturing concerning "the magnitude of the Earth and its divisions", in values of 1/2, 1/4, 1/8th, 1/16th, 1/32nd, 1/64tn, 1/128th, 1/256th, etc. In this line-up the sum of 1555.2-miles would be 1/8th of the 24883.2-mile circumference.
The North -South distance is .99". The progression goes:
.99, 1.98, 2.97, 3.96, 4.95, 5.94, 6.93, 7.92, 8.91, 9.9, 10.89, 11.88, 12.87, 13.86, 14.85, 15.84, 16.83, 17.82, 18.81, 19.8, etc. The progression goes on to produce 24.75, 29.7, 59.4, etc. Again, this all relates to navigating by the ancient Scottish mile of 5940' or the English mile of 5280'.
The progression advances to finally generate the value 130680000' (the equatorial circumference of the Earth under the 5280' mile system).
It would have been dual read as .984375 for mnemonic recall of the lunar code used in the Egyptian, Greek and Roman gold standards for weighing out quantities of gold dust.
DISTANCE TO THE CENTRE TROUGH OF THE 3RD CONCENTRIC RING
This is exactly 1" East-West.
The North-South diameter is 1.024"
1.024, 2.048, 3.072, 4.096, 5.12, 6.144, 7.168, 8.192, 9.216, etc. The progression goes on to generate 1536, 2560 and ultimately 130636800' for a full equatorial circumference of 24883.2 Greek miles.
DISTANCE TO THE OUTER RIM OF THE 3RD CONCENTRIC RING
The East-West diameter is 1.0368" and the progression runs:
1.0368, 2.0736, 3.1104, 4.1472, 5.184, 6.2208, 7.2576, 8.2944, 9.3312, 10.368, 11.4048, 12.4416, etc. The progression advances to produce 24883.2 which, in miles was the 12 X 12 X 12 X 12 X 1.2 equatorial circumference of the Earth.
In the above line-up, the value 1036.8 (1/24th of 24883.2) tells us how fast the Earth rotates in miles per hour (MPH). The largest Egyptian Royal cubit was 20.736", the sum of 3110.4-miles would be 1/8th of the equatorial circumference, whereas 12441.6-miles would be 1/2. The value 933120 grains was very important to the Sumerians/Babylonians, as their Talent weight.
The progression advances to finally generate the value 130636800' (the equatorial circumference of the Earth under the 5250' mile system).
The North-South diameter is 1.056" or twice the diameter to the centre trough of the 2nd ring on this same face. The progression generated goes:
1.056, 2.112, 3.168, 4.224, 5.28, 6.336, 7.392, 8.448, 9.504, 10.56, 11.616, 12.672, 13.728, 14.784, 15.84, etc. The progression would generate a raft of important values like 2640, 6336, 7920, etc., all the way to the equatorial circumference of the Earth in feet. The sum of 1056' would be 1/5th of a mile and 1584-miles would be 1/5th of the Earth's diameter (7920-miles).
The progression advances to finally generate the value 130680000' (the equatorial circumference of the Earth under the 5280' mile system).
The perfect circles and ellipse circles, set to the coded dimensions listed above, very-well comply with the intricate design features of this face. There are some minor overshoots in a couple of sweeps of the outer-most ring, but everything else fits nicely. A white circle shows the a close proximity diameter .5376", which the druidic savant owner would have also called to mind when contemplating the mathematical merits of this centre trough position.
